OspolyBuzz News Outfit want to congratulate you on your admission to one of the amazing schools in Nigeria. Just so you know, Osun State Polytechnic is not just a school, it is a jungle where only the fittest survive.

In time past, Ospoly was meant for show but hey, things have changed, Ospoly has changed gear tipetipe, the school has 'gbese' and it is known for work, stress and excellence now. If all you want to do in Ospoly is show, the school will not hesitate to show you the stress part of it. So, it is better to educate you better even before you start your journey.

In Ospoly, there are major areas you need to know which will make you make a decision has to where to stay.

May I tell you that your campus is quite different from the main campus and you might only go to the main campus solely for administrative affairs. However, some departments use the main campus for all their activities in which all the departments under Faculty of Environmental Studies are one. Also, The Department of Food Science and Technology uses The Main Campus for all their activities. Also, Science Laboratory Technology Department interchanges venues for their students as they switch from Main Campus to Koko Campus. Most departments however, use the Koko Campus for lectures.


Based on the venue of your lecture theatres, you would want to consider living closer to the school where your transport will be eased and you wouldn't stress yourself much.

I will quickly do an analysis of the major areas around in the Host Community.

1. Wuraola.

This area is largely dominated by Full Time students as it very much closer to the main campus. For a Daily Part Time student, it's not reasonable to reside here majorly because of transport expenses. It would cost you at least #200 to and fro to your campus.

2. Ladoja/Gaa 1&2.

Aside Wuraola, Ladoja is one of the most livelier places to live in Iree. The area houses Hundreds, if not thousand of students and indigenous people of Iree. However, it is largely dominated by Full Time students because it is also closer to the Main Campus and you need not to even expend on transport to enter school. However, my verdict on Wuraola is still the same for Ladoja. Staying in Ladoja will require you to spend at least #150 on transport daily.

3. Valley View

Known for its party atmosphere, this area hosts two of the major clubs. If you are a party type, you'll surely like this area as every night, gbedu wey dey burst brain will be played.
The area is good and great and will require transportation also with a minimum of #100.

4. Poly Junction/Oris/BHS.

If you are an outdoor type, you undoubtedly will love the Poly Junction life and really, it is the most noisiest place in Iree Town. But, you need not to disturb yourself about getting groceries because the market is around you. Transport cost is minimum of #100(To and Fro). But, if you don't like noise, maybe you'll have to reconsider.

5. YARO/Small London.

Yaro hosts the Palace and Town Hall. Many of the DPT students stay there as it is proximate to the Koko Campus to an extent. Houses there are old fashioned and cheap. You can get houses as low as #10000. Transport Cost is cheap and it's as low as #100.

 

6. Eyinade/Platona.

Here, you can access Koko Campus with a trek, if you can anyways. There are good houses there and you will enjoy your stay.

7. Estate.

As any sane Estate would be, this area is very reserved and really, there are lesser noise and it is distant from the noise of the main town and you will undoubtedly enjoy your stay here.
 Staying in estate means you need not expend on transport to your campus.


NOTES; Accommodation in all the areas can go as low as N14000 and as high as N20000 for a room apartment in all the areas above. Self-Contained Apartment differ on areas with the least being N35000.
