Ospoly releases 2018/2019 list of payments, reduces HND2 payment by 2.8%.

The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree as at last week released the payment list for 2018/2019 session which combines the total payment to be made by each level of study on campus.

It will be duly noted that the fee was skyrocketed in the previous academic session, 2017/2018 with other charges added to the tuition fee itself which remained N25000.

Furthermore, the HND 2 fee saw a reduction in payment by 2.8%(N1500) against the total amount paid in HND 1.

In response to the release, the Student Union Government arm of the institution has decried the payment of such exorbitant charges especially for the additional charges been merged with the tuition fees.

The Union in his statement opines that most of the additional charges being paid for have no evidence to show for it. In the union's words,

It must be stated for the sake of emphasis that we have paid this fees for a whole academic session and this includes many of this fees which we have not enjoyed a reciprocative service and we have some existing fees which hitherto we've not seen dividends of payment.

Though some of this fees were introduced in the last Academic session but it was accepted as a result of the fact that in last academic session there was no union but a caretaker committee which was a stooge of the authority And we have waited patiently hoping some of the fees introduced in the last academic session would be dropped.

The following list of payment will not be accepted and we are calling for a meeting with the school authority to further discuss and push our position ideologically.

To us, as duly elected leader of the student, we shall not fold our arms and accept the payment designed to exploit us.
