Today after the Congress held by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, Ospoly Iree Chapter, it was agreed upon that strike action has commenced indefinitely until all demands are met satisfactorily.
The release made by the Union is seen below.
"Congress Decision Extract
The ASUP Iree chapter at her Congress, held on 8th August, 2018, hereby resolved as follows;
1. That an indefinite strike action should commence immediately, until all issues of dispute are resolved satisfactorily.
2. That participation of our members in all examinations; ongoing ND I & NCE and scheduled HND Screening, Weekend PT etc is suspended immediately until all queries issued to our members, due to their roles in the last strike action of the Union, are withdrawn and closed.
