OspolyBuzz News Outfit was not able to gather if a meeting/congress was held today but with the look of things, no consensus has been reached.
Before noon, the campus community was scanty as few students and lecturers were seen around whilst the Non-Academic Staff continue their operations in their respective offices.
It will be noted that the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Iree chapter decided to go on strike on Wednesday, 13th June, 2018 after the Congress held on that day. It was gathered that 78 members of the union voted for the strike commencement whilst 2 opposed the motion for strike commencement.
As it was as well gathered, another congress might be held tomorrow where the continuation or stoppage of the strike action will be determined.
In lieu of this, the strike action continues as at today, 19th June, 2018.
