The just concluded General Elections in Osun State Polytechnic, Iree which saw HOPE and his Team winning all the election for various posts, didn't leave us with extremely funny things, things that happen once in a while.
Below are some of the things we took notice of...
1. NIGHT School.
This is very unusual for every students. Ospoly doesn't operate a Night School but because of the General Elections, a whole lot of people still find their ways around the campus and passionately waiting for the vote count which ended at 11pm.
Some of the students who waited, when they have a lecture up to 6pm and the lecturer hasn't left the class at 5:30pm, they start grumbling and squeezing their faces as if they drink 'herbal collection'.
However, but for the love for their respective candidates, they needed to wait to know what's up!
2. The Lord of the Rings.
hehehehe... Yesterday wasn't just a day as a whole lot of people came prepared to defend and fight for their own. 60% of the guys had rings on and they became, the Lord of the rings.
The rings, which most of them were made of 'copper wire like' were worn around their fingers with most wearing three or four.
These same guys, when they get married will refuse to wear their wedding rings o.
Nonetheless, they just wanted to defend and fight for their own. A great thing!
3. Knickers/Jumpers/Boots everywhere.
People came prepared for any sort of struggle. Yesterday was filled with a lot of people in boots and knickers and sanders. They were prepared to run if there is any sort of riot.
Some of them, if asked to wear boots, they protest and always wear slippers to school even on Mondays.
4. The GIANT aliens
Hehehe, we couldn't believe our eyes when three huge black men invaded the campus with their guns ready to fire, if there's a need.
Out of the three men, one was even looking like 'mudus and sekundus' and he was the tallest of everyone at the pavilion.
5. The FICT bonfonnery
Ah, it was a funny moment when the FICT Electorates refused to hand over their ballot boxes to the ISEC officials.
Some of them, who complained that they weren't able to vote due to a lapse in time refused to agree that their ballot box be taken away to the MPH for proper counting.
The scene almost turned bloody when the other faculty electorates ran to meet them with full force to highjack the box still, they didn't release it until the security personnel drove their pickup with absolute "furiousity" into the booing crowd where all of the Electorates took to their heels whilst some threw chairs and sticks at the security personnel(DSS, Civil Defense, and others.)
6. The FALL of ISEC Chairman
This one, very epic, happened when the (5) above happened. As the security personnel drive with "furiousity", the ISEC Chairman fell down from the pickup because he wasn't used to such a life.
