Lazy Nigerian youths have been trending massively online and offline.

This statement was used by Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari during a Commonwealth Business Forum in Westminster.
The president slammed the Nigerian youths whom he said prefer to do nothing because they feel Nigeria is an oil-rich nation.
He further added that most Nigerian youth are not educated.
Below is an extract from the President’s statement,
HE SAID, “ABOUT THE ECONOMY, WE HAVE A VERY YOUNG POPULATION, OUR POPULATION IS ESTIMATED CONSERVATIVELY TO BE 180 MILLION. THIS IS A VERY CONSERVATIVE ONE.“MORE THAN 60 PERCENT OF THE POPULATION IS BELOW 30, A LOT OF THEM HAVEN’T BEEN TO SCHOOL AND THEY ARE CLAIMING THAT NIGERIA IS AN OIL PRODUCING COUNTRY, THEREFORE, THEY SHOULD SIT AND DO NOTHING, AND GET HOUSING, HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION FOR FREE.”
This statement which has been trending since Wednesday has come as a shock and big embarrassment to Nigerians especially the youths.
Many Nigerian youths have taken to their social media handle to react to the statement.
Nigerian youths are one of the best in Africa.
Despite the economy of the nation, Nigerian youths have done their best possible to make a living out of nothing.
Nigerian youths wake up everyday and take to the street to ‘hustle’ as most see hardwork as the key to success.
On the issue of education, Nigerian Youths are making wave, we have youths who have earn their PhD at a young age.
Nigerian youths are entrepreneurs, fashion designers, bloggers, engineers, among others.
Some Nigerian youths like Seun Osewa, Makinde, Linda Ikeji, Olamide, Wizkid, Davido among a million others are known within and out side the country.
Then the question is, where is the laziness from?
