OSPOLY Management Decries Violence, Warns New Students to Register Now or Forfeit Admission
In an online release by the school's Public Relations Officer, Mr. Tope Abiola, the management of Osun State Polytechnic has warned new studemts to stay clear off violence.
Below is the online release by the management.
It has come to the notice of Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree that some disgruntled elements part of whom are suspected to be among those who have been given provisional admission into National Diploma (ND1) and Higher National Diploma (HND1) programmes in the institution are making moves to disrupt the peaceful co-existence in the Institution. These persons are reportedly instigating our obedient and law abiding students to disrupt the current academic calendar.
I am to add that these persons are not yet students of the institution.
Management of the Institution is hereby warning that anybody caught in any act of violence would be apprehended and handed over to the police and charged for disturbance of the public order.
The Management wishes to reiterate that the deadline of Friday, 24th November, 2017 already fixed for HND1 provisionally admitted to register with the institution is still in force. Any HND1 provisionally admitted student who fails to register as scheduled will have his/her name replaced.
I am to add that anybody who is not a registered student of the institution is not yet a student and if he/she is caught constituting nuisance in or around the campus would be arrested and immediately handed over to the police.
It would be recalled that the Management has already agreed with the student union leaders that the the new students would be allowed to pay the school fees in two instalments so as to facilitate improvement in academic activities in the Institution.
The Management has declared that any student given provisional admission who is not ready to fulfill the registration condition should vacate the campus immediately, failing which the institution may withdraw his/her offer of admission.
" Anybody caught in the dreadful act would face the wrath of the law", the Management warned.
