7 Sets of People To Be Careful of. (Series 1)

The campus community is a place where one meets different calibre of people who are probably good, bad or even ugly(not about beauty). The community contains over 5000 people from different places and backgrounds with different perspectives and ways of life and if one will get something of worth on campus, there's a need to connect with others. No man, they say, is an island and it is often said that a tree cannot make a forest. If all this are true, then relationship is essential for one's success on campus.
  It is quite true that relationship is essential but one will have to determine the sets of people one will roll out with. You are the one who have the liberty to determine who and who you relate with. A man asserts that... "You cannot choose your family but the choice of your friends is your decision". You have to decide who be your friend. The people you meet daily have impacts on your life either positive or negative.

Whilst you associate yourself with different sets of people on campus, you must be very careful of these set of people lest you get to know that you aren't getting productive in things you do...

1. The Terminators

Hey, I am not talking about movie here. I am basically warning you to stay away from terminators. You'll ask, who are the terminators? Well, they are dream destroyers, destiny killers and vision obstructers. They will do well to be good to you at first but sooner or later, they will show you their real being.
  This set of people will lure you to do things against your values(if you have). They will constantly ask you to go to 'valley view, Abolend, Ladies Party, all white party, among others...' They will even ask you to join them to try out a sort of drink or smoke a kind of drug. Dear brother or sister, be very much careful of these people. The best they can offer you is to kill your dream! Stay clear off them!

2. The Time Bandits

Bandits are raiders, thieves, and touts who does nothing else but steal. It has been proven that we have 24 hours in a day(well, I know you know already) and each second you spend ought to be purposeful. Time bandits do nothing but steal your time. They do that by their constant visits to your hostel not to study with you but just talk of junks. They are those ones that ask you to accompany them to places that wouldn't bring value to your life.
  Imagine someone asking you to accompany him or her to UBA's ATM Terminal all for you to wait for several hours doing nothing. It is absurd! If you let the Time Bandits into your life, be ready to let your precious time get wasted then cry at the end of the session when result is released. Think twice now!

3. The Thermocools

Thermocools are appliances used to make things cold. They include freezers, refrigerators, air conditioners, among others. These stuffs are great, I love them but I am not talking about them!
  Thermocools are folks that make you cold. They "coldify'' your hotness. They drain your fire and they freeze you so much that you won't be hot anymore. You know that you are brilliant, you are a bookworm, an 'efiwe or igiwe'(slangs in Yoruba used to describe brilliant students) and you are always on point but since you let the thermocools in, there has been a paradigm shift into negativity. You find it hard to top the class and have As or Bs even Cs. You're wondering what went wrong? Maybe it's hightime you checked yourself maybe you've allowed thermocools into your life.
  Thermocools are those folks who always tell you...
Do you want to kill yourself with book?
Reduce your study time, among others. 
If you have them, it's time to be like Usain Bolt! Run! Allay!!! Alele!!!!
