Resumption Day; Ordering Your Course 1
Yes!!! It's resumption day. A day full of energy and a bright atmosphere glowing with the joy of students resuming back to the campus community. Here are the things to expect; Staff and students will be trooping in, vendors will be glad, freshmen will be so eager to catch up with several academic and nonacademic activities, transport ppersonnel will be transporting people from all areas of the city. The campus will be crowded and the environment will glow with awesomeness.
It is quite true that the school resumes today but the actual truth needed to understand is that work has began. There's no more time for slothfulness and any form of laziness. Everyone is prepared to make things work.
Oftentimes, students are carried away with the euphoria of activities that make them lose focus of the primary assignment and when the semester or session ends, nothing productive will be accounted for. In order to stop this from happening, there's a need for 'Course Ordering'.
Course Ordering connotes systematic arrangement of one's engagement or activity. In order to let this new session be productive for you, you'll have to order your course{Self}. How then can you order your course? The following will help out...
1. Be Prepared.
It is so funny how a lot of students glide through the semester or period without any sort of preparation. Most think things will work out all by itself and thereby they watch themselves not catching up with the demand of their respective academic activities. To let the session be productive for you, you need to be prepared for the stress/work attached to it. Get ready for anything. You are in school and things are not meant to be so rosy all the time. Get Ready!
2. Have a Vision.
Vision is the ability to project into the future from the present. I have seen a lot of people starting a programme without envisioning the end result. It is like waking up one day and start going out to nowhere. It should be noted that if vision is out of place, direction is also nonfunctional. This new session, what vision will you have for yourself? Have a first class grade? Build a strong foundation for your academic success? Envision yourself to do certain things. I dare you to envision yourself doing great things on this campus!
3. Make Plans and Set Goals.
It isn't just enough to envision. There's a need to make plans and set goals to attain that vision. Whatsoever you have envision yourself doing, endeavor to plan and set accurate goals alongside it so as to make sure you attain that vision. If you've envisioned yourself having a first class grade, why not make plans on how to read, attend lectures, join a study group, among others. Also, set realistic goals for the vision. Goals such as, scoring A+ in many of your courses, study for 4-6 hours in a day, among others. Plans and goals make your vision attainable.
4. Choose Your Team
On this campus, I have seen that empty minds attract themselves whilst heavy minds attract themselves. If you want your session to be productive, why not bond with people who can make you productive? Choose your team wisely!Empty minds attract themselves whilst heavy minds attract themselves.
5. Exhibit Distinction.
The campus community is filled with many trends(mostly negative). You cannot afford to copy the trends if you wish to be productive. Be distinctive. You don't need to be a copycat to things that don't add value to your life. Dare to be different!Afterthought
You are a unique specie here on this campus. You cannot afford to waste your time doing things that do not matter.Let this session be far different from others you've been encountering.
Prepare, Push, and Prosper!
